How I ended up in Iowa

Last week I flew 2,410 miles and then drove 1,042 miles all to spend 5 days with 41 family members in the middle of nowhere Iowa.  The trip made me grateful for the chilly San Francisco weather and I am happy to be home

  1. My gammy is from Iowa. Once when I was 10ish we all went back for a family reunion - I was very happy to get back home. ;)

I do appreciate the slower pace of life out there.

  4. The land of corn! This week I will be visiting Vegas (where I lived for 5 years) and fully expect to have my face melted off after being in SF this long!

  5. The most vast land I've been to is Utah. I'm not used to seeing such emptiness. It was lovely, but like you, I missed my home!

  10. Wow, your posts are super inspiring! They're all making me want to get off this couch and go take some photos! I'm curious about the cameras in your collection. I have a few, too. My favourite is still my medium format holga, but I have a couple of others that I love, too. Film rules.
