The Good and The Bad: Home addition

In previous posts I have alluded to the fact that I have an interesting and somewhat unorthodox living situation. Coming home after a weekend in LA made me realize that I am not that happy with my living situation and I might need to start looking for a new place. Sigh, in the last 5 year I have moved 8 times and I am starting to feel like I will never feel "at home" again.

The Basics:
I live in a 5 bedroom house with 4 other individuals in the Mission district in San Francisco. Brandon and I share to two adjoining which we have divided into a living room and bedroom.

The Players:
Roommate 1: a 30 something woman who works for a nonprofit during the day and artist by night.
Roommate 2a woman in her late 20's.  Anarchist, MFA student and all around interesting individual.
Roommate 3:  40 something man who lives and works in LA as a lawyer during the week and lives in our smallest room during the weekends. e
Roommate 4: By far my favorite of the bunch, Brandon.  29yr PhD Bio Development student at Stanford by day, amazing boyfriend (most of the time) by night.

The Bad:
ONE BATHROOM FOR 5 PEOPLE ... 3 OF WHICH ARE WOMEN!!!!! One Kitchen which is ALWAYS dirty (I day dream about having my own kitchen and all the wonderful food I would cook in it), and last but not least no storage.

The Good:
Cheap rent (very rare in San Francisco), GREAT location, library across the street, and I get to live with Brandon.

I can't help but thinking the following: Do the goods out way the bads?  Will I be able to stay sane living like this?  Should I stay or should I go???

  1. Stay, the pros outweigh the cons and you'll have your own wonderful kitchen one day with Brandon.
